Compact State Status

Oregon is not a Nursing Licensure Compact State.

Prescriptive Authority in Oregon

Advanced Practice Registered Nurses may apply for prescriptive authority for Schedule II-V controlled substances with the exception of treating narcotic addiction. Schedule II may also not be used for weight management. $75 Fee is required 45 contact hour course in pharmacology is required.

Oregon Nursing Licensure Renewal

License renewal is required through the Oregon State Board of Nursing every two years. Any registered nurse (R.N.) or advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) with a national certification is responsible for completing the renewal requirements of that organization in addition to Board of Nursing requirements.
